[There's really not enough to do in Luceti! Sure, there's training with Suki, but it really isn't the same when it's just the two of them, not nearly as good as being in a group, and that doesn't take up even half the time she has on her hands. Which means she's bored!

There are solutions to boredom. Most of them involve shenanigans. So here's Ty Lee on the journals!]

Hey, hey everyone! So... you know what this place needs? It totally needs something to make people smile more! Everything's so boring when there's nothing constructive to do.

So! I am putting the call out there for people with talents. Not bending or chukra or whatever else you call your magicky things. I'm talking about things like juggling! Or contortion! Or how about animal training? The animals here seem really smart, I bet someone could train them to like, balance on big balls or stuff like that.

I'm talking about putting on a circus.

So what do you say? Do you wanna help bring joy and cheer to our little village? If so, I bet there's something for you~

[She'll also be found around the village, presenting her little recruitment speech in person, scouting locations that might be good for setting up a circus, or thoughtfully digging through the item shop for anything that might be useful.]

[Really. The journal is being dropped and he is racing off to the Battle Dome at an impressive speed.]

[And Ty Lee's on her way there just as quick as she can go. Lee might beat her there, but certainly not by much!]

[Lee is certainly dashing there, and by the time he arrives she is likely at least within sight. He skids to a halt before he looks in her direction.]

[And she's not long behind him, coming up at her quick run.]

I am! [He beams proudly as he gives a quick bow.] And so are you! Hello.

Soooo~ What's this 'taijutu' stuff and what can you do with it?

Taijutsu is the art of hand-to-hand combat practiced by us ninja! I can perform a variety of feats with it... like so!

[And so, because he can't stand still for two seconds a hands-on demonstration works best, he turns away to start punching and kicking rapidly at the air.]

Oooh, interesting~ You're pretty fast, there.

[And now there's a speculative light in her eyes.]

Ah... Yes! I am very quick, indeed!

Hmmm~ I wonder if you can be faster than me!

[Because it's been too long since she's done some of her kind of fighting, instead of Kyoshi Warrior stuff. So she'll make a quick lunge at Lee -- not aiming to shut down his nerves, not yet. Not until he's on guard and ready to play.]

[OH SNAP ATTACK so it's a quick lunge. Luckily Lee's quick on his feet and ninjas are most likely prepared for sudden attacks in particular. He inclines himself backward quickly while raising an arm to block her strike, smiling confidently.]

You are good! Shall we? [Because she's always looking for a fun bit of playing around~]

Oh yes. Let us! [And now he darts in with his own strike.]

[She laughs delightedly and ducks away from the strike -- though just barely! He's really fast.]

Man! I haven't had a really good workout like this in a loooong time!

[And she's right back in, striking out with stiffened fingers for the pressure points she knows are there.]

Then you should workout more often!

[He says challengingly. Going for the pressure points, huh? That's the kind of thing that Lee's been prepared for - especially when he's spent a portion of his life combatting a Gentle Fist user. He does his best to deter and block out her strikes.]</small.

You're right! It's just never quite the same without a real partner.

[Especially since the things she's working on with Suki are in the Kyoshi warrior style, not in her own acrobatic style.

It's so weird, though. Everyone else she's fought against has been at least a little bit taken by surprise by how she fights; Lee seems like he's completely accustomed to it. It makes things way harder!]

Are you like... predicting me somehow?

[She doesn't sound annoyed; more like curious and intrigued.]

[It is unusual - it seems as if she's rarely sparred against others who match her skill in close combat. Lee gives a confident smirk.]

I have no special powers of prediction, Ty Lee-san. Rather, you can say... I'm used to fighting opponents who would use such moves! In return, let me show you a move of my own!

[And he dips down quickly, to deliver a spinning rear kick aimed to sweep Ty Lee off of his feet.]

[He catches her ankle and she goes down with a yelp, but quickly rolls back onto her feet.]

Someone else who fights like this? I didn't think there was anyone else!

[And he pauses, returning to his fighting stance, satisfied with that one point.]

Then you have much to learn! In my world, the school of hand-to-hand combat known as taijutsu is widely taught!
